Langtang Valley Trek Overview
The Langtang Valley Trek from Kathmandu follows the Trishuli road to Syabrubesi, then climbs through forest, river valleys and Tamang villages toward Langtang Village and Kyanjin Gompa. It is a focused eight-day route for travelers who want a high-valley trek without a domestic flight.
The itinerary includes a second night at Kyanjin Gompa for a shorter exploration walk and views, followed by a return through Lama Hotel and Syabrubesi. Walking days include sustained uphill and downhill sections, while road travel is affected by traffic, weather and mountain conditions.
Langtang National Park entry and TIMS requirements should be confirmed for the traveler’s nationality and departure date. Compare this route with the longer Langtang Gosainkunda Trek before choosing.
